Week FOUR aka my baby is one month old.

You guys. Brody is a month old. A MONTH. I can't take it. I know that's nothing in the grand scheme of his whole life ahead of him but to this first time mama it's insane. I never really believed people when they would say "cherish every moment because it flies by" I would just sort of shrug it off but it really feels like we just came home from the hospital.
Maybe it's the sleep deprivation that makes it go faster? But really... Doesn't that seem a little backwards? It seems to me like that would make it go by slower...

Speaking of sleep deprivation!
This little chunky monkey who has been cluster feeding and tearing up my poor nipples slept for almost four hours last night. When he woke up I couldn't believe what time it was and triple checked the alarm clock and my phone thinking one if them HAD to be off.
Let's cross our fingers that that time gets longer and longer!

Since he's gaining weight super well I don't have to worry about waking him up to eat anymore :) that makes me super happy because it's a lot to make me get up and go get him every two or three hours in the middle of the night. Which brings me to the second thing. We've totally been bed sharing. The past week it's been so much easier for me to just bring him to bed with us because even though he eats just before we go up to sleep he wants time at again as soon as were up there, and I've totally mastered side nursing. (ok maybe that's exaggerating a little bit, but I've totally figured out how to do it) so he nurses a little while and then I make sure he's got a clean diaper and we fall asleep.

Then a few hours later he starts yakking at me you moms know what I'm talking about right? Yak yak yak this cute little grunt to say hey mom. I'm sort of hungry!
Lol I love it. He does it a lot now.

So it's about twice a night that he wants to eat. Which is good because by the time he wants to eat my breast are full and if I don't get him on quickly I'm leaking all over the place. Breastfeeding is a messy thing. Maybe I'm just not very good at it yet? Someone tell me it gets less messy please!

So besides the breastfeeding which is going fairly well aside from some pretty uncomfortable let down that feels like I'm being pinched, and some sore nipples from piranha boy everythingn else is going great!

He loves his daddy and as soon as he gets home from work he's like gimme him! Lol he cuddles with daddy holding him on his chest. He tries to lift his head up but he doesn't have the best control over it quite yet.

He LOVES the glider all his aunts and great grandma Camling got him. It's a graco glider that rocks and vibraites and you can take the seat out to be a bouncer. We spent some time outside this past weekend because it was crazy nice out and he just slept in there and soaked up some filtered rays!

He stays awake longer and longer during the day and makes funny faces.
He's perfect you guys.

Week three

Oh my little beetle.
Week three huh? I don't feel like time has gone by that fast but the calendar proves it. You had a doctors apt and are a little chunky monkey! Weighing 7 lbs and 6 1/2 ounces! So excited about that your newborn socks fit your feet now lol you also grew about an inch!
You've wanted to be attatched to my boob 24/7 so you must be growing!
I love you!
Xoxo

Week 2

Beeeetle!
This week has been so good! You had your second doctors apt. Your gaining weight really well! You gained 100g since your last apt on Friday! (In three days!) so now it's probably even more!
Your bilirubin level also went back down. Friday it was at 16 which scared the crap outta me. But at your next apt it was back down to 12 :)
I feel like a huge weight is lifted from my shoulders! Were doing everything right to help you. My milk is helping you!
You've got the cutest little voice when your not screaming about getting your diaper changed. It's just a little squeek. And it's soooo cute. Your expressions are adorable too. It's just everything. You are my favorite thing in the whole world. Your daddy's too. He came home from work yesterday (his first day back) and you could just tell how much he missed you while he was gone. He kissed you and played with you and held you and loved you. You have this magical super power. You can put anyone to sleep. Idk how many times I've came in and caught your daddy fast asleep with you on his chest sleeping all sprawled out and completely comfy.
Lots of love little man.
Xoxo mommy.

Day 2 of Brad back to work.

Day two of brad going back to work starts NOW.
4:30 am:
He just pulled out of the driveway.
Brody has a full belly and a clean diaper on and with that I'm attempting to go back to sleep.
Too tired for any feelings about it.
8:00 am:
Going to change bee and his poor little diaper rash. He peed all over the bed and I decided to give him his second bath at home instead of rubbing the diaper rash cream off his little booty. So I drew a bath and got in with him. Let his poor butt soak in the warm water to soothe it. I feel bad for him. After I washed him off and rinsed him I let his little legs float in the water and then let him breast feed. Bundled him up in a towel while I got dressed. Since he didn't finish eating in the tub after I got him dressed I finished feeding him. Wrapped him up in his blanket and picked up the laundry.

9:00 am:
Brought the beetle downstairs and put him in his glider. Picked up the living room and kitchen, swept the floors and mopped. Put some country music on. Let the dogs play outside and gave them fresh water and food. Finished picking up and decided on dinner. Were almost to payday and didn't get groceries last check so were basically cleaning out the cupboards. Started the laundry already too.
Now it's 10:00 am and I'm done with everything besides laundry.
10:23 am:
Made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Diet Pepsi can only hold you over for so long :)
Can I wake Brody up?

11:00 am:
I'm halfway going to take the rest of the day off relaxing on the couch cuddling with Brody.

11:30 am:
Never mind. I'm taking some pictures of Brody for announcements.
11:45 am:
I suck at newborn photos.

Spent some time on the computer and the rest of the day relaxing with Brody.

Brad got home and I made dinner.
